I think one way to get back on track with the bookblogging thing is to admit that I'm reading something beforehand, instead of guiltily putting a trashy book back onto the shelves and trying to pretend I was reading something intellectual, and end up blogging nothing. So, for the record, I'm reading The Private World of Georgette Heyer, bookblog to come!
Things I can't:
1) Read more than five pages of a novel if there's no dialogue. Someone needs to talk!
2) Bow, Japanese style. I... I strongly suspect this is my racefail (one of many instances), as I teach Japanese people English and at the end of the lesson I, um... nod and chirp, "See you next week!" My other boss, on the other hand, executes a perfect 45-degree coming and going and says things like "Please work hard!"
3) Sit in a chair for longer than 15 minutes without adopting a cross-legged posture. This is why I hate chairs with armrests.
4) Go anywhere without a sweater, even though I live in the tropics.
5) Be bored with my job. I quit my last two jobs because of this. The problem is that my threshold for boredom gets lower with every passing year.
