Oct. 26th, 2009 10:22 pmIn lieu of bookblogging (I just finished reading The Last Continent by Terry Prachett, actually, and feel a bit uhh about it) I shall relate another not-very-interesting wtf moment of my life.
For reasons that do not bear relating at this point, I once found myself talking about the fact that in university I once studied* The Book of Margery Kempe to a senior-level guy at one of my previous places of work. Among other things, I mentioned that she was a woman from medieval England.
HE: So which is she?
ME: Huh?
HE: Because I'm a Christian, you see. That's why I'm interested. Was she a Catholic or Protestant?
ME: *how do I even begin to explain*
*And I ended up liking Margery Kempe a lot. Even if loads of people think she hoaxed everybody else. You gotta like a woman who wrote (or dictated) what amounts to self-insert biblefic.
