Is it already 25 Dec where you are?

That time of the year again. Where if you're very, very lucky, you'll manage to escape the hordes of shoppers and be spared the refrain of "let it snow" and will have avoided banging into temporary structures meant to imitate fir trees.

To all those who attach any sort of personal, spiritual, religious, or familial significance to the various festivities taking place at this time of the year: Happy Holidays.

To everyone else: eat the chocolate. You deserve it for having to put up with the first group*.

*Sorry for being a grinch. Caught up with friends today and learnt that an ex-colleague is facing serious health issues in ICU.


New Year Resolutions

Usually I would wait and post New Year Resolutions only on New Year's Day, but since one of my resolutions is to stop procrastinating...

1) Stop procrastinating on stuff**.
2) If I'm in the middle of a task and another needful task suddenly occurs to me, I'll do it immediately or write it down on my to-do list, instead of trusting my brain to keep up. (I can't tell you how many times I overlooked stuff.)
3) No more yarn-buying until I use up at least 1/3 of stash.
4) Write fic. Or something. At least three times a week; how long each time doesn't matter.
5) Update Facebook more than once every 6 months. Maybe weekly?
5) Practise for and pass Grade 5 Guzheng exam.

**If I have to, I can procrastinate, but only for 1 hour.
