Much as I enjoyed season 2, I'm starting to find myself not reading as many Sherlock fics. Reason: I'm not all that keen on the spate of post-Reichenbach Falls fics. I guess for me, those fics can't top the impact of the book scene. Or maybe I'm still trying to take in the ending.

Today is 人日, the seventh day of Chinese New Year, popularly believed to be the day when humans were created. Funnily, enough, I never did learn about Chinese creation tales like Pangu 盘古 and Nüwa 女娲 until I was old enough to, erm, watch TV. My parents didn't believe in creation stories, tho' they're pretty religious people, and so my mum never told us any.

(The first time I learnt about evolution as an explanation of how humans came to be, I thought it was an awesome explanation.)

Still, there's a certain romance to the story of a goddess who creates humans out of need for companionship.
