Sober things:
I tried posting about this a few days after the funeral, but couldn't make myself set the post to 'public'.
My grandpa died two weeks ago. He was 92. We all sorta guessed it was sooner or later, because he'd been in and out of hospital in the past two years and had become very frail several months ago. His mind was sharp to the end, though; one day earlier he made sure to wind up the clock in his room so we'd have an accurate record of the time he died. His favourite food was Teochew-style yam paste, which I'm guessing was a childhood treat when sweets were rare. Good journey, grandpa.
